Do you have low back pain? Well, if so, you’re in luck! These exercises pictured below can help reduce your low back pain! Focusing on core strengthening, it has been shown in research to help reduce and prevent onset of low back pain.
Start with level 1 for each exercise, and once you have mastered each level begin to progress to consecutive levels. It is worth noting that levels 4 and 5 for each of the exercises are for high-level athletes who are returning to sport. While performing the partial sit up, remember to keep as straight of a spine as possible and try not to curl your head/spine as you lift up off of the ground. A good cue for this is to just try and lift your shoulder blades up off the floor. Perform the dead bug and partial sit up exercise twice a day, 3 times a week. And remember, exercise should be pain free! Check back next week for 2 more core-based exercises to help ward off that low back pain.
